My first song came out to silence

I finished my first song on a Wednesday night and uploaded it the next morning. It went live on Friday. I posted the link once, told my group chat, and waited.
Nothing happened. A few friends listened. My mom shared it twice. By Monday it was as if I'd never released it.
It took me a while to understand why. Spotify's editors had never heard of it, because I'd never pitched it. There was no pre-save, so nobody had it waiting in their library. The playlist curators I emailed got a song that was already old news. I'd done everything on release day, and by then it was too late.
The next time, I started four weeks out. I wrote every date on a whiteboard: when to pitch, when to post the teaser, when to message my biggest fans. It wasn't magic, and I still didn't get millions of streams. But people heard it, and some of them stayed.
That whiteboard is now the 30-Day Song Launch Plan. Put in your release Friday and it tells you exactly what to do each day before it.
