About it

Margot's way of looking at a closet: not what's in fashion, but what each piece costs you every time you put it on. One row per piece, with category, color, cost, date bought, times worn and alteration notes. Cost per wear fills itself in, and the bargain you wear twice stops hiding.

A Summary tab adds it all up: pieces per category, the best and worst cost per wear, how many pieces aren't worn yet, and your closet total. It opens in Google Sheets, Excel and Numbers, comes with six example rows to show how it works, and a one-page guide to getting started.

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. Use File > Import in Google Sheets, or upload it to Drive and save it as a Google Sheet. The formulas carry over.

Which currency does it use?

Any. Costs are plain numbers, and you can add your currency sign with Format > Number > Currency.

Do I have to list everything at once?

No. Start with what you wear most, add a few pieces a day, and the summary keeps up.
